WARNING – do not confuse this Chinese Anise Star oil with Japanese Anise, because the Japanese Anise is poisonous and positively toxic! You also shouldn’t confuse Anise Star with plain Anise (Aniseed). They look and smell very similar but are NOT the same! The “star” in the name comes from the fact this oil is steam-distilled from the star-shaped pericarp (peel layers) of the fruit.
OK, YOU’VE FOUND THE RIGHT OIL and this one is good and safe, but what makes this oil so sought after? Well that HAS to be its remarkable ability to combat colds, fight flu and relieves respiratory issues such as sore throats and blocked noses! It’s often said you cannot “cure” the common cold or flu viruses, but you can certainly beat them into submission, and this exotic spice oil has been doing that in China for centuries! – BEATS BUGS AND BELLY-ACHE – We cannot recommend internal use of essential oils unless under a physician or licensed aromatherapist but there are good reasons why this Anise Star oil is used as a food flavouring in India and Pakistan (especially in the delicious Biryani dish), because it is an ANTISEPTIC, ANTIBIOTIC and ANTIVIRAL, while a diluted natural lotion or oil rubbed on the tummy greatly aids indigestion. In the October issue (Vol. 13) of the Journal of Medicinal Food, Taiwanese scientists published their study “Chemical Composition and Antibacterial Activities of Illicium verum Against Antibiotic-Resistant Pathogens”, which showed Anise Star to contain compounds that can defeat bacteria that modern medicines can’t touch!
However we must end on the warning note we started with; make sure you are using Chinese Anise Star oil and NOT the Japanese version, which should only be used in the making of incense, and even then we don’t recommend it! By choosing this deSensua Anise Star oil you know it has been tested via gas liquid chromatography and then a mass spectrometer, ensuring you are getting the real thing and all the health benefits of this remarkable oil.
Naturally it comes with our special 90 day money back satisfaction guarantee.
